ABOUT

Faye is a versatile creative talent who works across illustration, installations, textiles, and costume design. She studied Fine Arts and Advertising at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and brings a flexible, creative approach to everything she does.

Faye is passionate about politics and incorporates social issues into her work, reflecting her desire to create art with meaning and impact. Collaboration and dialogue are important to her—she thrives on exchanging ideas and learning from others’ perspectives and challenges. Therefore, she is currently exploring her chances and possibilities within the field of journalism.

In addition to her artistic projects, Faye is a co-founder of “De Vakbond,” an initiative that supports artists. Through this platform, she collaborates with local policymakers to advocate for shared studio spaces, funding opportunities, and the growth of creative hubs.

ABOUT ME

I am a 26-year-old (1998) artist with a diverse practice that spans across different media. Three years ago I started publishing illustrations under the pseudonym Foki.

Along sides my work as Foki, I have been working as a designer and assistant director for several different theatre companies. Additionally, I founded and managed an artist collective in Breda, where I took on the role of spokeswoman for local artists. 

I am currently exploring my journalistic ambitions and possibilities. I participated in the BNNVARA Academy and made it until the final 10 allround makers. I am eager to take a deep dive into journalism and the public debate.
